Frames
Everyone has different requirements for fit and style, therefore both of our practices stock a wide range of designer frames, as well as a comprehensive selection of other spectacle ranges to complement your own personality and budget. We also carry a range of sports eye-wear including frames especially designed for use as swimming goggles/ cycling / running / ski and snowboarding / golf squash and a number of other  action and watersport use frames.

Designer Frames
In recent years the number of fashion designers who have included ophthalmic spectacle frames as well as sunglasses in their ranges has increased immensely, expanding the design base and cost range for designer eye-wear. Nowadays it's not just traditional standards in glamour and style like Dior, Chanel, Gucci and Prada that are represented but more contemporary designers such as Ted Baker, Lulu Guiness and Marc Jacobs producing casual and fun ranges as well as beautifully detailed and embellished frames in both metals and plastics.

We generally have in stock a selection of frames from the aforementioned designers alongside Fendi, Max Mara, Hackett, Mexx, Ralph Lauren and others.

High Quality Frames Of course a spectacle frame doesn't have to have a recognisable designer tag to be of excellent quality and beautifully made, and we carry a number of well established top of the range brands at our practices including Silhouette (with their innovative titan rimless range), OWP, Francois Pinton, Flexon and Safilo Diamond Ophthalmic Sports Brands The other recent changes to spectacle design have been the introduction of a number of sports orientated brands. Eyewear designers have worked closely with sports wear and equipment manufacturers to develop frames which are made to look good and work effectively in more active environments.

Budget Ranges
To ensure that we carry a well rounded range of frames, we have a selection of simpler designs from a range of good quality manufacturers. In addition, our ‘expert’ range offers basic ladies’ and gentlemens’ frames in plastics and metals which are priced including a range of lens designs at competitive prices.

Children's Frames With children's frames the fit is extremely important as their facial bones are more susceptible to damage due to pressure. For this reason we carry both specially designed paediatric frames for very small children as well as up to date designs for the fashion conscious older child . Children aged 16 and under and those aged 17 and 18 and in full time education are entitled to an NHS voucher. We have a comprehensive range of children’s spectacles, some of which are completely covered by the voucher value. Children who need particularly small frames are sometimes eligible for extra help towards the cost of their spectacles from the NHS and our staff will be happy to advise you on the relevant NHS vouchers that may be available to you.

Sunglasses
As well as being able to supply a wide range of custom made prescription sunglasses, we also carry non prescription sunglasses from a range of manufacturers in both standard full UV tints and polarised versions. Now that specially curved lenses can be made it is possible to glaze more of the non prescription ranges to your spectacle prescription (including some of the sporty wrap-around designs), and we will be happy to advise on which models are suitable. Our stock changes regularly to reflect the styles of the moment and includes more classic designs as well as high fashion models. Generally we have sunglasses in stock all year round and carry Gucci, Max Mara, Dior, Rayban, Fendi, Animal, Ted Baker and other fashion ranges covering a wide variety of price points.

Sports Sunglasses/Protective Eye-wear
Because so many sports take place out of doors it is necessary to ensure that you protect your eyes from sunlight, wind, dust and water and yet at the same time make sure that your visual performance is at the least not restricted and at best enhanced.

Adidas make a comprehensive range of sunglasses/ sports goggles and masks, many with the option of an ophthalmic insert for your lenses and a variety of fitting combinations to suit most sports needs.

We also carry more general ranges like Dirty Dog (who also have an excellent 'wet-glass' for use when surfing, wind surfing, kayaking or indeed any sport where your sunnies are going to be immersed in water) and Nike.
